Expert Tips:
Prepare fresh: Fruit salads are best prepared fresh and served shortly after. Prepared fruit that sits out too long tends to soften and brown quickly.
Eat fruit at room temp: If you had your fruit in the fridge, wait a few minutes to eat it. Fruit at room temp tastes sweeter and more flavorful.
Make bite-sized pieces: Make sure you prepare your fruit to be easily eaten. 1-inch (2.5 cm) pieces or smaller are ideal and are perfect bite-size.
Mix and match fresh summer fruit: Fruit salad is versatile and can be made with any combination of fruit. We suggest buying fruit that’s in season and looks best for the freshest fruit with the most flavor. We go to the fruit and veg market every Wednesday and just pick what looks the best so it’s always different.
Add toppings for extra energy: Adding toppings such as nuts help to boost energy throughout the morning. Yogurt helps aid digestion, and spices help boost metabolism and add plenty of flavor too!
