Written By: Byron | November 20, 2023

It’s that time of year again and if you’re having people over you’re no doubt looking for party food recipes you can easily make that will still impress your guests. We bring you 11 easy party snacks to make for entertaining.

1.

Anchovy and Red Pepper Canapes

A very simple recipe to prepare that comes out ridiculously tasty every time. You need just five minutes to prepare it, then let it sit and do its thing in the fridge for around two hours, then spoon some over bread and serve.

2. Smoked Paprika Chicken Skewers

If you’ve visited our site before, you’ll know that smoked paprika is one of our all-time favorite Spanish spices to use. It adds a depth to dishes that no other spice can. These smoked paprika chicken skewers are always tasty and we often just serve them alone or you can dip them in romesco sauce, which you’ll also need for the next recipe anyway.

3. Empanadas with Fish and Romesco Sauce

These baked empanadas with fish and romesco sauce are bite-sized (well, more like two bites) and the quantities in our recipe make around 32 empanadas, so adjust as needed. We use store-bought empanada pastry disks when in a hurry and you can prep and cook them in an hour. If you don’t want to use fish, try our mini chicken with cider-infused chorizo empanadas.

4. Shrimp in a Cava Bath

Cava is a Spanish sparkling white wine that’s made in a similar way to Champagne. Needless to say, it’s delicious, and when you throw shrimp into the mix you get a match made in heaven. Simply bathe some shrimp in Cava (or a dry sparkling white wine) for 30 minutes with some paprika and salt, then fry and serve.

5. Blue Cheese and Sherry Canapes

It doesn’t get any simpler than this blue cheese and sherry spread. There are only two essential ingredients required to make the spread, then you can serve it on or alongside toasted baguette slices or crackers, with an optional sprinkle of parsley for some color.
