    Cooking Tips:

    • Choose ripe but firm nectarines – Overripe fruit can become too soft; firm-ripe nectarines hold their shape and slice beautifully.
    • Serve burrata at room temperature – Take it out of the fridge 20–30 minutes before serving to let the center become extra creamy.
    • Add texture – Try sprinkling toasted pistachios, almonds, or walnuts for a crunchy contrast.
    • Mix up the herbs – If you don’t have basil or mint, try tarragon or chives for a twist.
    • Presentation tip – Tear the burrata open just before serving so the creamy center spills into the salad for an irresistible look.

        Ingredients and Substitutions

        • Burrata – This Italian cheese is made of mozzarella and cream, with a delicate outer shell and a rich, creamy center. It pairs beautifully with sweet and tangy flavors.
        • Nectarines – Juicy, sweet, and slightly tart, nectarines bring a refreshing stone-fruit brightness that balances the creaminess of the burrata.
        • Fresh Herbs – Basil, mint, and parsley add a garden-fresh, fragrant note to the dressing, making the dish vibrant and aromatic.
        • Lemon Juice & Zest – Adds a zippy, citrusy kick that cuts through the richness of the cheese.

FAQs for Burrata with Nectarines and Tangy Lemony Herb Dressing

        1. Can I substitute nectarines with peaches or other fruits?
Yes! Peaches, apricots, or even plums work beautifully in this recipe. Any ripe stone fruit will complement the creamy burrata and tangy dressing.
        2. How far in advance can I prepare this recipe?
It’s best assembled just before serving, but you can prepare the dressing up to 24 hours ahead and slice the fruit a few hours in advance (store chilled).
        3. Do I need to peel the nectarines?
Not at all — the skin adds color, texture, and nutrients. If you prefer a smoother bite, you can peel them easily after blanching.
        4. What can I serve this dish with?
This salad pairs wonderfully with grilled meats, crusty bread, or as part of a summer spread with charcuterie and wine.
        5. Is burrata the same as mozzarella?
Not quite. Burrata is made from mozzarella on the outside but filled with stracciatella and cream inside, making it richer and creamier than mozzarella.
